MCCPA goes to Knoebels

On Saturday July 13, Several MCCPA members cruised to Knoebels Amusement Resort for fun day of rides, food and more food. The weather was perfect, a big improvement over 2018. The day started with a meet up at MCCPA favorite diner, Sizzle-N-Chill for breakfast then a nice ride to Elysburg. Later a bunch of Sennett’s arrived (they travel in large groups). The day ended with a traditional chicken and waffles dinner at the Alamo restaurant.

Jeff, I think Lorraine asked to drive the Mustang.

Some the charm of Knoebels is all the old rides that they have restored. I really should not had the third waffle ice cream before getting on the spinning ride…

The Scenic Skyway has a super view of the park and surrounding mountains. Scenic Skyway has been upgraded this year, a much smoother ride. It is also fun to look down and see what people have dropped.

I got to sit right behind the Engineer, very cool, but he would not let me drive.

We had lots and lots of Sennetts attend.

Another cool thing about Knoebels is the air conditioned Alamo restaurant, a great way to end the day and have some Chicken and Waffles.
