Denny Fanale Memorial Covered Bridge Cruise
On Sunday October 27, MCCPA presented the 12th Annual Denny Fanale Memorial Covered Bridge Cruise. Mike Cole and helpers worked hard to plan the cruise. Everyone cooperated except for weather, it rain hard the night before and kept raining through the first leg of the cruise, however the sun came out during the second segment and ended up with nice day. All were hungry for the final stop at Hershey Farm Restaurant and Inn.
Mike gathers the crowd (out of the rain.)
A Covered Bridge Cruise first, a Pre-war car and Bronco!
To the cars! Thanks to Oregon Dairy for letting using their facility to stage legs one and two.
The first run was let’s say damp. Scott’s truck belt slipped off, MCCPA members jumped in to help including Glenn who was on his back in the rain.
One of the Bridges was the Forry’s Mill Bridge, built in 1869.
Heading into the Forry’s Mill Bridge.
The Rain let up, thanks to Scott and Fred for taking the pics.
The Cruise when through thirteen bridges and lots of fall foliage in the Lancaster area.
The top is officially down!
Thanks to Leisure Lanes for hosting our third stop.
Nothing more fun than a bunch of Zarkers.
One last huddle for the final leg.
Thanks again to Mike, Tim, Deb(s) and all the members that helped.
Nothing better than ending a cruise with a great meal with friends!
