Does anyone know where the fuel pump relay is at on a '88??

Dale, it's under the carpet under the driver's seat. When I laid new carpet I "precision installed" a slit so I could slide the relay harness out from under the carpet/seat and check its condition when I had a no-start. I think in 92/93 they relocated it to a strut tower.

I HAVE AN 87 CBR600 HURRICANE AND I AM HAVING  SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL PUMP..  THE FUEL PUMP DOES NOT WORK IF I JUST TURN ON THE KEY AND TRY TO START MY BIKE, CHECKED FUSE AND IT IS GOOD, BUT IF I UNPLUG THE WIRES TO THE PUMP AND USE JUMPER WIRES OFF THE BATTERY THE PUMP WORKS... ..... IS THIS A FUEL PUMP RELAY PROBLEM??? IF SO WHERE IS THE RELAY LOCATED??? THANKS .. JOHN

how deep do you want to go into the circuit? here goes... from battery to main fuse, main fuse red to ignition, red withblack to 10amp fuse,black from fuse to fuel cutout relay,light blue to fuel pump ,green to ground. In order for that circuit to be made ignition must be on. Dont forget the 89 has a sidestand safety switch that will kill the bike if the bike is in gear with the stand down.
